studied Architecture in Nancy, then Urbanism in Paris
Important notions for a whole project :
- the existing use, legal or not, revealing needs of the inhabitants
- nature, smart growth, sustainable strategies
- short term, what we can do now
- long term, where do we go
- mobility, how do we get there...
I try to work mostly on the field for every project. I visit the grounds at different times of day until I know the place by heart.
I always bring a map, tape measure, pen, and notebook along with me. This is the reason urbanism is another part of my architectural skills.
I also discovered the political stakes in programming through studies in urbanism. I believe mutual understanding between all the actors in a project is essential to achieve greatness.
